Tips Tricks and FAQs
- Use our homemade apple pie filling for this recipe. Just cut the apple slices into smaller pieces for this recipe.
- To really make sure all your pieces are covered in delicious brown sugar and apple flavor, add half the rolls, half the brown sugar and cinnamon, and half the apple pie filling in a Ziploc bag. Once in the bag, seal it and give it a good shake to combine all the flavors, then add it to the casserole dish. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
- The icing will spread easier if you warm it first. Add the icing from both containers to a microwavable safe dish and heat for about 10 seconds. If you want even more glaze, add some milk or heavy whipping cream and mix.
- If you prefer you can add walnuts or pecans to this dish for more flavor.
Storage
If you have any leftovers you will want to store them in an airtight container (or covered) for up to 2 days.
