Ingredients

⅓ cup salted butter, room temperature

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon salt

24 balls of frozen roll dough, thawed

½ cup grated Parmesan

¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

How to Make Olive Garden Breadsticks

  • Blend together the butter and seasonings. Set aside but keep at room temperature.

  • To make stuffed breadsticks: On a lightly floured surface, flatten the rolls and stretch until about 4 inches long. Spread the seasoned butter over the dough. Sprinkle with the cheeses. Fold the dough over and pinch to seal. Twist the dough into a breadstick. Melt any remaining seasoned butter and brush over the breadsticks.

  • For an even easier bread: Skip stuffing the breadsticks and roll the dough into a rope. Bring the ends together to create a circle. Then, twist the middle of the circle twice. Spread the seasoned butter over the twists and sprinkle with the cheeses.

  • Place the prepared breadsticks on two parchment lined baking sheets. Cover loosely and allow to rise in a warm, draft-free location for 30 minutes or until doubled.
  • Bake in a 375 degree oven for 20 to 22 minutes or until golden. Serve warm.

  • Don’t overbake these. If you leave these in the oven too long they will dry out.
  • These are best served right away.
