Air Fryer Chicken Egg Rolls with Asian Dipping Sauce
Egg rolls in the air fryer are so good and a much healthier option than traditional egg rolls. We have been loving our air fryer cheeseburger egg rolls for quite some time now, but I have really been craving a delicious chicken egg roll. After lots of testing, I am happy to say this air fryer chicken egg roll with homemade Asian dipping sauce is my favorite. It is full of so much flavor and is so easy to make. These egg rolls cooked in the air fryer come out perfect every single time.

Ingredients
1 pound ground chicken
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon garlic powder
3 cups cole slaw mix
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons water
10 egg roll wrappers
Olive oil spray
For the dipping sauce:
¼ cup reduced-sodium soy sauce or liquid aminos
2 teaspoons rice wine vinegar
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon thinly sliced green onion
½ teaspoon chili garlic sauce
½ teaspoon sesame oil
How to Make Air Fryer Chicken Egg Rolls with Asian Dipping Sauce
- In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, cook the chicken, crumbling as it cooks until done. Stir in the ginger and garlic. Drain if needed but most of the liquid will evaporate. Remove from heat.
- To the skillet, add the cole slaw mix and season with salt and black pepper. Stir to combine with the chicken.
- Stir together the flour and water until well blended. Set aside.
- Spoon about ¼ cup of the filling onto the middle of each egg roll wrapper. Tuck one side of the egg roll wrapper over the filling. Fold the sides into the middle. Then, add a small amount of the flour paste to the remaining side. Continue rolling up the egg roll to seal.
- Preheat the air fryer to 3560 degrees. Prepare the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray.
- Place the egg rolls into the air fryer basket. Spritz with olive oil spray. Cook for 7 to 8 minutes, turning halfway until browned.
- To make the sauce, stir all of the ingredients together and serve with the egg rolls.
Tips Tricks and FAQs
- If you want to make more than 10 you can double or triple the recipe.
- Ground chicken is located in the meat section of your grocery store near the ground beef.
- When making these chicken egg rolls be sure you seal them to prevent the filling from falling out. You do this with the flour paste or even a little bit of water.
- Be sure to not fill your air fryer too full. You want the air to circulate around each of the egg rolls for them to cook properly.
- If you need to make several batches, you can place your cooked egg rolls on a cookie sheet in the oven. Keep them warm at 200 degrees.
Storage
These are best enjoyed right away when they are nice and crispy.
Can you make these ahead of time?
These chicken egg rolls freeze great!
Just make a batch as directed without cooking them. Flash freeze them on a cookie sheet for about 2 hours and then add them to a freezer-safe bag. These will store for up to 3 months. When you are ready to enjoy, remove your desired amount from the freezer brush it with oil, and cook at 400 degrees. You will need to add 1-2 minutes of cooking time per side. Be sure they are cooked all the way through prior to serving.
