Once you’ve assembled the egg rolls, place them on the prepared baking sheet and lightly brush or spray them with oil to help them brown and crisp up in the oven.

Bake the egg rolls for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy, turning them halfway through the cooking time to ensure even browning.

Keep an eye on them towards the end of the cooking time to prevent them from over-browning. Once they’re done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauces. Enjoy!

Tips & Tricks

  • Use lean ground beef: Opt for lean ground beef to reduce excess grease in the filling and prevent the egg rolls from becoming too oily.
  • Proper sealing: Ensure the egg rolls are tightly sealed to prevent the filling from leaking out during cooking. Use a small amount of water to moisten the edges of the wrappers before folding to help them stick together.
  • Even cooking: Arrange the egg rolls in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t touch each other. This allows hot air to circulate evenly around each egg roll, ensuring they cook uniformly.
  • Monitor cooking time: Keep an eye on the egg rolls as they cook, as cooking times may vary depending on the size and wattage of your air fryer. Adjust the cooking time accordingly to achieve the desired level of crispiness.
  • Serve with dipping sauce: Cheeseburger egg rolls pair well with a variety of dipping sauces such as ketchup, mustard, barbecue sauce, or ranch dressing. Offer a selection of sauces to cater to different preferences and enhance the flavor experience.

Storage

You will want to store any leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days in an airtight container. They will lose their crispiness over time, but will still have good flavor.

  1. I made these last night and while I was mixing up the ingredients, it dawned on me that I always use a steak seasoning blend to season hamburgers, so I added about a teaspoon and was so glad that I did. It added just the right amount of flavor to the filling. I had a can of Trader Joe’s coconut oil spray, so I used that to spritz the egg rolls. I tried the directed time on the first batch and found that 375 degrees for 8 minutes worked best for me. My husband and I enjoyed them and will be making them again.
