Tips Tricks and FAQs
- When it comes to the peanut butter you want to use a smooth peanut butter. Natural peanut butter is not recommended because it contains no salt therefore it causes the cookies to spread more and become more crispy.
- I like to spray my fork with cooking spray prior to making the crisscross pattern on the cookies to prevent it from sticking.
- If you want to add in other ingredients you can! Add in mini chocolate chips or add a kiss to the top of the cookie once it comes out of the oven!
- Be sure you don’t over bake these cookies. Once the edges turn a golden brown they are done. They will continue to cook as they cool.
Storage
You will want to let these cookies cool on a cooling rack before storing them. Once cooled, place them in an airtight container at room temperature for about 1 week.
These cookies freeze nicely. Let them cool and then place them in a freezer-safe airtight container. These will last up to 2 months.
When you are ready to enjoy, thaw your desired amount.
