We have been bouncing back and forth lately between this delicious Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream, no churn strawberry cheesecake ice cream. or this incredible homemade snickers ice cream, can I just scream OMG!!!!! Is this a no-churn ice cream?
This is not a no-churn ice cream. It does require an ice cream maker to make, but it is 100% worth it! If you haven’t gotten an ice cream maker I promise it is worth it. Once the ice cream is done mixing, technically you can enjoy a bite or two! It is best to let it set up a bit more, but I am not judging you for wanting to try it beforehand, it is that good!
How to make Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream
- Beat the peanut butter, sugar, milk, and vanilla with a mixer or immersion blender until blended and creamy, about 5 minutes.
- Add cream, blending until combined.
- Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- When the ice cream is almost completely set, add the mix-ins.
- For firmer ice cream, transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 4 to 6 hours.
Tips Tricks and FAQs
- If you are a fan of chocolate you can easily add chocolate into the mix to create Chocolate Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream. Add 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder. If you just want a chocolate swirl add ⅓ cup at step 4.
- I used mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, but you can absolutely use full sized ones as well. Just chop them up before adding to the ice cream mixture.
- Don’t forget to freeze the ice cream bowl for 24 hours prior to making your ice cream. We usually just keep ours in the freezer so that it is ready to go whenever we feel like eating ice cream.
Storage
Store your ice cream in the freezer until you are ready to enjoy it! It will last about 2 weeks when properly stored.

Ingredients
- ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
- ¾ cup sugar
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Mix-ins:
- 1 ½ cup miniature Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, quartered
Instructions
- Beat the peanut butter, sugar, milk and vanilla with a mixer or immersion blender until blended and creamy, about 5 minutes.
- Add cream, blending until combined.
- Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- When the ice cream is almost completely set, add the mix-ins.

Makes about 1 quart liquid and about 1 ½ quart frozen.
