Air Fryer S’mores
I love making these when we want something sweet right now—especially on a rainy day or when I don’t feel like dealing with a fire pit. If you’re into easy treats like these, you’ll definitely want to check out my air fryer Uncrustables hack, this fun no-bake dessert recipe, and my always-a-hit homemade hot chocolate mix. There’s just something cozy and nostalgic about all of them!
The best part? Everyone can customize their s’more. Add a peanut butter cup instead of plain chocolate, swap in flavored marshmallows, or drizzle with caramel or sea salt. The air fryer opens up a whole new world of s’mores possibilities.

Kid-friendly and fun – Let the kids build their own s’mores before popping them in.
-
Quick dessert fix – Ready in under 10 minutes start to finish.
-
Customizable – Try it with peanut butter, cookies and cream bars, or Nutella!
-

What Type of Chocolate to Use For S’mores
The beauty of the recipe is you can be as creative as you want. Use a classic Hershey bar, or opt for something different.
- Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup
- Other thinner candy bars
- Or slather on Nutella in replace of chocolate
How Many Chocolate Bars Do You Need For S’mores
You can expect each person to eat 1-2 s’mores. I break my graham crackers in half so each s’more is one full graham cracker, ½ candy bar, and marshmallow. So if your guests eat 2 s’mores that’s 1 full candy bar per person.

Tips & Tricks
-
Start checking early – Every air fryer is different, so check your marshmallows around the 4-minute mark to avoid over-toasting.
-
Use parchment or foil – If your air fryer basket has wide holes, place a small piece of parchment underneath to prevent sticking.
-
Don’t walk away – Marshmallows go from golden to burnt quickly, especially at high heat.
-
Let the chocolate melt a little – Once you place the chocolate and top graham cracker on, give it a minute to soften before biting in.
-
Try mini versions – Use snack-size graham crackers and marshmallows for bite-sized party treats.
FAQs
Can I use jumbo marshmallows?
Yes, but they may puff up a lot more. Just keep an eye on them, and don’t overcrowd your air fryer basket.
What’s the best chocolate for air fryer s’mores?
Classic Hershey’s bars work great, but you can also try Reese’s, dark chocolate squares, or even a caramel-filled piece for something extra indulgent.
Can I make a bunch at once?
You can fit as many as your air fryer basket or tray allows—just leave a little space between each for the marshmallows to expand.
Do these store well?
These are best eaten immediately while they’re warm and gooey. If they cool down, you can always reheat them for a few seconds to soften them back up.

My air fryer just pops and blows the graham cracker and marshmallow all over.
yeah, same here. I stuck a toothpick through the marshmallow and into the Graham cracker. They still slide around just a little but they stay together and toast up really well!
Does not work with mini chips or mini marshmallows 🙁
