How to Make Chipotle Honey Vinaigrette Copycat Dressing
1. Combine all the ingredients except the olive oil in a blender.
2. Blend for 10-20 seconds.
3. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil and blend for 20 more seconds.
4. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Tips Tricks and FAQs
- Don’t forget the canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce. This is the secret to this dressing.
- I use a blender to make this dressing, but a mini food processor would work great as well.
- I find that the original recipe uses more salt. You can either add more or leave it out altogether. It is really up to you.
- Blend this dressing as smooth as you prefer.
- If you prefer, you can double the recipe or make a big batch.
Storage
You will want to store this dressing in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week. A mason jar with a lid works great.
My go-to salad that I love is made up of lettuce, roasted corn, black beans, tomatoes, peppers, and avocados.
You can of course add this to all your favorite meals and it makes a great chicken marinade.

- 1 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 chipotle peppers in the adobo sauce
- 2-3 small garlic cloves
- a squeeze of one lime
Instructions
