Ways To Use Pecan Honey Butter
- Bread or Toast
- Dinner Rolls
- Pancakes
- Waffle
- Bagels
- Muffins
- Sweet Potatoes
- And More
To be honest, I have yet to find a wrong way to spread on this butter. It works with so many foods, and I loved putting it on a baked sweet potato. It gave it that sweet potato casserole effect.
How Do You Sweeten This Pecan Honey Butter
You will use honey to sweeten the butter. I found it was a great way to really bring out a lot of flavors. If you are not a huge fan of honey you could probably use real maple syrup to pair with the butter and the nuts.
How Long Will Honey Butter Last
Pecan honey butter will store in the fridge for 1-2 weeks. Just ensure it is in an airtight container and stored at the proper temperature. Use your best judgment in terms of the quality of the butter.
Why Do You Roast The Pecans First
Roasting the pecans will bring out great flavor in the nuts but also give the pecans a crunch factor. So when you dice it up and mix into the butter mixture you get that crunchy texture that you would want. If you don’t they can turn soft or almost kind of rubbery in texture.
Just watch your nuts closely so they don’t burn in the oven. They go from done to burned fast.

Pecan Honey Butter
Delicious and easy to make Pecan Honey Butter will make your Sunday brunch shine.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Finely Chopped Pecans
- 1 Cup Butter, softened
- 4 TBSP Honey
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread pecans out on a baking sheet. Bake for aprx. 8 minutes or until the pecans are toasted nicely. They will burn pretty quickly so keep an eye on them and take out before they get too toasted. Set aside to cool.
- Once pecans are cooled. Mix butter and honey together. I just used a spatula to combine well (a mixer is not necessary). Fold in your pecans until completely incorporated.
- Store in your refrigerator for 1-2 weeks.

Hi, I’m planning on making this for thanksgiving. Would you recommend regular stick butter or whipped? Thank you.
I used regular butter. Whipped would probably work just as good.
This looks yummy! I’m wishing I had some now to go on my bread. Thanks for sharing at Merry Monday!
Can this be made ahead and frozen?
I think this recipe would allow a diabetic to enjoy a slice of quick bread with a flavorful butter.
Thank you
Tried it and was totally yummy. FYI it is my wife’s job to keep an eye on the nuts. Couldn’t stop laughing when I read that line. Sorry just couldn’t resist
