Tips & Tricks

  1. Sausage Selection: Opt for high-quality smoked sausage or kielbasa for the best flavor. You can also experiment with different varieties like chicken or turkey sausage for a lighter option.
  2. Potato Prep: Cut the potatoes into uniform pieces to ensure even cooking. Keep them slightly larger to prevent them from becoming mushy during the pressure cooking process.
  3. Cabbage Care: Chop the cabbage into larger pieces to prevent it from overcooking and becoming too soft. This will help maintain its texture and flavor.
  4. Broth Boost: Use chicken or beef broth instead of water for added richness and flavor. It infuses the dish with savory notes that complement the other ingredients perfectly.
  5. Natural Release: Allow for a natural release of pressure for 5 minutes before performing a quick release to prevent any liquid from spewing out of the valve.
  6. Customization Options: Feel free to customize this recipe based on your preferences. Add in other vegetables like bell peppers, onions, or celery for added nutrition and flavor.
