  • If you are in a hurry, you can eat this once it is mixed together, but it definitely is better the next day as the flavors meld together.

Storage

You will want to store your ham and pea salad in the fridge in an airtight container. It will last up to 3 days in the fridge.

Is this a main dish salad?

Technically this is a side dish salad, but you can easily serve it at lunch with a roll for a very filling meal.

Can I use canned peas?

I do not recommend using canned peas. Frozen peas are crisp whereas canned peas tend to be soggy. With this salad, you will want that crisp texture you find with frozen peas.
