How to Make Air Fryer Pizza Pretzel Bites
- In a small saucepan, combine 4 cups of water and baking soda. Heat on low, stirring until baking soda dissolves. Keep on low while preparing dough.
- While water is heating, portion dough into 4 sections.
- Roll each section into ropes about 1 ½ inch in diameter, then cut into 1 inch pieces. (If your dough is sticky you may need to add some flour.)
- Place one cube of cheese and 2 triangles of pepperoni into each piece of dough, making sure it’s sealed all around.
- Preheat the airfryer to 390 degrees for 5 minutes.
- Drop several pieces of dough into warm water at a time and remove with slotted spoon after 10 seconds.
- Set on plate or parchment paper, making sure to keep space in between pieces.
- Make an egg wash by beating the egg with 1 teaspoon of water in a small bowl. (The egg wash will work without the water, your pretzel bites will just be darker in color.)
- Brush pieces with egg wash. Spray or grease the air fryer basket with oil.
- Place pieces of dough into the basket with some space in between.
- Sprinkle it with salt.
- Cook for 5 minutes.
- Remove from basket.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and oregano (optional).
- Continue with remaining dough in batches. Serve plain or with marinara sauce.
