Storage
You will want to store your leftover creamy tomato chicken penne in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
Can you freeze slow cooker creamy tomato chicken?
The creamy tomato chicken freezes great. If you plan to freeze this, I would not mix in your pasta as it will get mushy as it freezes. You will want to let your chicken completely cool and add it to a freezer-safe container. This will last up to 3 months. When you are ready to enjoy, thaw and warm up to your desired temperature and serve over pasta.
What should the internal temperature of my chicken be?
You want to ensure your chicken has reached at least 165 degrees prior to shredding the chicken. It is best to check this with a digital thermometer.
