Tips Tricks and FAQs
- Be sure to wash your mushrooms right before cooking them and thoroughly dry them. This helps prevent them from being slimy.
- Feel free to double or triple the recipe if you are serving a crowd.
- Love bacon? Add some cooked bacon to your stuffed mushroom mixture.
- Every air fryer cooks a little differently so your mushrooms may need to cook a little longer or shorter. Check them at the 4 minute mark to see how quickly they are cooking.
- If you are making multiple batches, the additional batches usually cook faster than the first batch.
Storage
You will want to store your leftover stuffed mushrooms in the fridge in an airtight container. These will last up to 3 days.
Freezer
I do not recommend freezing these after they have been cooked, but you can freeze them prior to cooking them.
Just prep your mushrooms and stuff them and then place them in a freezer-safe container. If you are making multiple levels, be sure that you separate each layer with parchment paper.
Reheating
To reheat your mushrooms, place them back in the air fryer for a few minutes. This will crispy them back up and warm them.
If you heat them in the microwave they will get pretty mushy.
