All you need is vanilla pudding, milk, vodka, pumpkin puree, and a little bit of pumpkin spice to enjoy this fall adult beverage. This is the perfect addition to any fall gathering or soaking up the fall breeze on the porch at night while enjoying a little pumpkin treat. Pumpkin Pie Pudding Shots
This summer I have been obsessed with pudding shots and for good reason! They are so easy to make and taste delicious! It is the perfect adult treat to enjoy after the kids go to bed or with friends and neighbors.
Some of our favorites have been strawberry cheesecake pudding shots, Pina Colada Pudding Shots, and birthday cake pudding shots, but as we roll into fall I am all about pumpkin everything, so of course, I had to create a pumpkin pie pudding shot with all the fall flavors that we love.
Let me tell you, you will fall in love with this at first bite. Pumpkin pie pudding shots are creamy, and luscious, and have just the right amount of pumpkin flavor. Once you make these, they will be your go-to indulgent adult treat all season long.
What are pudding shots?
Pudding shots are basically when you combine your favorite instant pudding, with flavored vodka, milk, and sometimes cool whip to create an adult only treat that is one of a kind delicious.
These can be served in condiment cups or shot glasses and are a huge hit with everyone.
Ingredients:
- 3.4 ounces instant vanilla pudding mix
- 3/4 cup cold milk – use 1 ¼ cup of milk if you are not using vodka
- 1/2 cup vodka – skip if you are not making these boozy!
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 2 tsp. pumpkin spice
- Optional: dippers – I used cinnamon and sugar graham crackers but you could also skip this step
How to Make Pumpkin Pie Pudding Shots
- Combine all ingredients in a medium size mixing bowl. Add in vanilla pudding mix, milk, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin pie spice, and whisk to fully combine. Add in vodka as well if you are making these boozy.
- Refrigerate for 45 minutes to fully set, top with whipped cream and toppers, and serve.
Tips Tricks and FAQs
- If you want more pumpkin flavor, try using Pumpkin spice Instant pudding instead of vanilla.
- I love making dippers with graham crackers, but you can omit these, or you can use graham cracker crumbs instead.
- Using a cookie scoop is a great way to fill your shot glasses or condiment cups.
- You can double or triple the recipe as needed.
Storage
You will want to store these covered in the fridge. They will last up to 4 days when properly stored. Just be sure to keep them out of the reach of the kids
Can you make non-alcoholic pumpkin pie pudding shots?
Yes! You can make these pumpkin pie puddings with no alcohol so they are kid-friendly. You will want to omit the Vodka from the recipe and increase the milk to 1 ¼ cups.
