Ingredients:

  • 5 Ounces Dill Pickle Juice (brine)
  • 5 Ounces Vodka

Optional Garnishes:

  • Extra Pickle Juice
  • Tajin Seasoning
  • Pickle Chips
  • Gherkin Pickles

How to Make Pickle Shots

  • Add the pickle juice and vodka to a shaker, small cup, measuring glass, or whatever you have on hand.
  • Stir or gently shake.
  • If you would like to use the tajin garnish, dip the rims of the shot glasses in a bit of extra pickle juice and then dip it in the tajin seasoning to coat the rims. 
  • Pour the juice and vodka mixture into the shot glasses and garnish with a pickle chip or gherkin, if desired.

Storage

You can store these in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Be sure to stir prior to enjoying again. 

Can I make a big batch of this shot?

Yes, you can make a big batch of this drink. Just double or triple the recipe and mix it together. Once mixed, pour into shot glasses. 

Tips Tricks and FAQs

  • You can use the pickle juice from the pickle jars. If you don’t have any extra pickle juice on hand you can buy pickle brine, but this is harder to find. 
  • The type of pickle juice you use will change the taste of your pickle shot. So mix it up with the type of juice you use. 
  • The tajin seasoning is the perfect addition to help cut down the strong pickle flavor. It’s super delicious. 
  • If you are going to dip the rim of the glass in tajin seasoning then you want to do this prior to adding the pickle shot. 
  • Do not salt the rim of a pickle shot. This makes it way too salty when you use pickle brine.
