This dill pickle cheese ball is loaded with so much flavor as it combines cream cheese, a little bit of sour cream, cheese, dill ranch dressing, and a variety of dill pickles to create an irresistible cheese ball that everyone loves! This is the perfect appetizer for game day or parties.

What do I need to get started?

  • Cream cheese – full fat
  • Sour cream – you don’t need much
  • Dill pickle relish 
  • Dill pickles 
  • Dill Ranch dressing mix 
  • Worcestershire sauce 
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Colby jack cheese
  • Dill – fresh

How to Make Dill Pickle Cheese Ball

  • Combine the cream cheese and sour cream, then stir in the remaining ingredients.
  • Cut a large piece of plastic wrap.  Place the cheese ball in the middle and pull the wrap together to form a ball.  
  • Place in the refrigerator for at least one hour.  
  • Combine the Colby jack and chopped dill in a bowl.  Unwrap the cheese ball and roll in the cheese until coated.

  • Place on a plate and serve with crackers.

Tips Tricks and FAQs

  • Be sure that you use full fat cream cheese when making this recipe. 
  • It is best to let your cream cheese and sour cream get to room temperature so that you can mix them together nicely without creating lumps. 
  • Refrigerate this for at least an hour, or overnight before serving. You want to make sure that your cheeseball is firm prior to serving. 
  • Love bacon? Add some cooked bacon crumbles as you mix your cheeseball together. You can even add them to the top if you prefer. 
  • Serve this with crackers or toasted bread.

Yes, you can make your dill pickle cheese ball ahead of time, in fact, you will want to. You will need to refrigerate this at least one hour before serving, but I recommend that you will want to make it and let it sit in the fridge overnight.

  • 2 (8 ounce) bars cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1/4 cup dill pickle relish
  • 1 cup chopped dill pickles
  • 1 tablespoon Dill Ranch dressing mix
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • Topping:
  • 1/2 cup colby jack cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

Instructions
