Kamikaze Shot Ingredients:
- 6 Ounces Vodka
- 2 Ounces Triple Sec
- Sweetened Lime Juice, to taste (I use ½ ounce)
How to Make Kamikaze Shot
- Combine all ingredients in a shaker and gently shake for a few seconds. Shake with ice if the ingredients aren’t chilled.
- Pour into shot glasses and garnish with a piece of fresh lime, if desired, and enjoy!
Tips Tricks and FAQs
- Feel free to make a big batch of this and pour it into individual shot glasses if you prefer.
- I use ½ ounce of sweetened lime juice in this drink. You can change this amount depending on your preference. Add more or less, this is up to you.
- Sugar the rim of the shot glass if you prefer.
- To add the sugar to the rim, dip the rim of the glass into the sweetened lime juice and then dip it in the sugar prior to filling the glass with your Kamikaze shot.
- You can use bottled or fresh lime juice in place of the sweetened lime juice, but you’ll definitely want to coat the rims in sugar if you do. It is a strong shot and the bit of sweetness helps level it out.
- It is tradition to bite into a lime after having this shot, for me this was a big mistake. I needed the sugar to help tame the drink a bit.
- Keep the ingredients of this shot chilled prior to serving.
- You can choose to use ice in the shaker if you prefer. This will add bubbles to the drink which I don’t love to do if I am serving it to guests, but if you don’t mind bubbles shake away!
Storage
This is best enjoyed as soon as you make them. You will want to chill all the ingredients ahead of time for a nice refreshing drink.
