Peanut butter cake has been around for ages. It is like an old school recipe that I remember eating as a child at my grandma’s house. It was moist and delicious and full of peanut butter flavor. The glaze was almost like eating fudge on top of cake. To this day I still love peanut butter cake as much as I did back then.

Tips Tricks and FAQs

  • The recipe calls for creamy peanut butter for the glaze, but if you prefer a more nutty flavor, you can use crunchy peanut butter, or even add chopped peanuts to the cake batter for added texture.
  • Be sure to allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before adding the glaze to the top.
  • To create a peanut butter chocolate flavor, add in a handful of chocolate chips into the batter.
  • If you want to get fancy, you can make this cake in 2 9-inch round pans and create a layered cake. You will need more glaze if you go this route. Note that you will need to adjust the cooking time.
  • Be sure that you grease your pan generously so your cake does not stick.
