Tips Tricks and FAQs
- Be sure to not overcook the peanut butter chips. If it is overcooked it will turn out lumpy.
- You will want to use parchment paper rather than cooking spray. If you only use cooking spray it makes it almost impossible to remove the fudge from the pan. The parchment paper makes for quick and easy removal.
- Want to change the flavor of your fudge? Swap out the peanut butter chips for another variety of chips.
- If you want even more of a peanut butter flavor, use peanut butter frosting instead of white frosting.
- If you prefer, you can use 16 ounces of creamy peanut butter instead of the peanut butter chips. Natural peanut butter does not work great, but ones with the added sugar work fine. Follow the recipe when using this substitution just replace the peanut butter chips for the peanut butter.
- You can also use a 14-ounce can of sweetened condensed milk in place of the frosting, but you will need to add 2 more ounces of peanut butter chips if you do.
- If you want thicker fudge, double the recipe or use a smaller pan.
Storage
You will want to store your peanut butter fudge in a sealed airtight container in the fridge or in a cool dry spot. This will keep for up to 1 week.
Freezer
If you want your peanut butter fudge to last longer, wrap it in plastic wrap tightly and then place in a freezer safe bag. Store in the freezer for up to 3 months.
