Tips Tricks and FAQs
- If you find that this drink is a little too sweet for your liking, you can add in ¼ ounce of lime juice. This will help make it less sweet and is the perfect addition.
- If you don’t have pineapple juice, you will want to use 5-6 ripe pieces of pineapple instead. This is a welcome change and will give your drink a nice bright color to it.
- If you want a thicker drink, use more ice. If you want your drink to be a bit thinner use less ice.
- Canned coconut is not the same as cream of coconut so be sure that you pick up the right ingredient at the store. Cream of coconut is found in the mixed drinks aisle at the store.
Storage
You will want to enjoy your frozen pina colada right away. Letting it sit or storing it for later will dilute the flavors because of the ice.
Can I make a Virgin Frozen pina Colada?
Yes, you can make a virgin frozen pina colada. To make this a mocktail, just omit the rum from the drink.
