What is Ambrosia
Ambrosia salad is a traditional salad that has been served on holidays for so many years. Depending on what part of the world you live in will depend on how you define ambrosia salad.
This dish can be classified as a dessert or even a salad. Generally, ambrosia is loaded with ingredients. Pineapple, oranges, nuts, cherries. And the list goes on. Pretty much anything can go in this creamy and sweet mix.
When to Serve Ambrosia Salad
Ambrosia salad can be served at your summer cookouts, holidays through the year, or as a weekday dessert for your family!
This bunny tails ambrosia I Make specifically for Easter, but you can use this recipe all year round! It works for any potluck or occasion you can think of!
How to Store Bunny Tail Ambrosia
Once you have mixed up your salad, toss it in the fridge until you are ready to serve. This salad needs to stay cold or it will break down. You can keep it in the fridge for up to 4 days.
It is best served in the first two days, as the mixture breaks down a bit more with each day.
Can I Make Bunny Tail Ambrosia Ahead of Time
You can make this salad a bit in advance. Feel free to whip it up the night before so it is chilled and ready to serve the next day.
If you go this route you can also leave the marshmallows out and then right before you serve stir them in. This will keep their texture a bit better.
Single Serve Salad Cups For Ambrosia Recipe
If you are feeding a crowd, consider buying single serve cups and spooning the salad into cups for serving. This is great for your guests to grab a cup and go, vs scooping on their plate.
We do this when we have a lot of people over, it makes it more portable too for them to eat out of the small cup instead of needing a dessert plate.
At the end of the day, this bunny tail Ambrosia is such a simple and delicious dessert for the family this Easter. Just a handful of ingredients, a few minutes to whip up and you have one flavorful and sweet treat anyone would love!
