Crockpot Ranch Pork Chops
These crockpot ranch pork chops are my absolute favorite! They are so simple to make and are moist and delicious. I love using homemade ranch seasoning to pack even more flavor into this easy recipe. I love pairing these with my Instant Pot Mashed potatoes or Instant Pot Mashed Cauliflower for a comfort dish the whole family loves.
How to make Crockpot Ranch Pork Chops
- Add cream of chicken, water, ranch seasoning, & cornstarch into your crockpot. Mix to combine.
- Season your pork chops with salt & pepper.
- Lay your pork chops into your soup mixture. Nestle them in and let the soup mixture cover them. *(for this recipe, my husband was grilling and I could not resist putting a little color on my pork chops before adding them to my crockpot. This is not necessary at all. Just place your raw pork chops in and enjoy the ease of this recipe)
- Cook on HIGH for 4 hours or LOW for 6 hours.
Tips & Tricks
- Choose the Right Cut: Opt for boneless pork chops for this recipe, as they cook evenly and are easier to handle in the slow cooker. However, bone-in pork chops can also be used if preferred.
- Adjust Seasoning to Taste: While the recipe calls for a specific amount of ranch seasoning, feel free to adjust the amount according to your taste preferences. You can add more or less seasoning to suit your desired level of flavor.
- Brown the Pork Chops: For extra flavor and texture, consider browning the pork chops in a skillet before adding them to the crockpot. This step helps seal in the juices and adds a delicious caramelized crust to the meat.
- Add Vegetables: Enhance the dish by adding vegetables such as sliced onions, bell peppers, or mushrooms to the crockpot along with the pork chops. These vegetables will absorb the flavors of the sauce and add depth to the dish.
- Thicken the Sauce: If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix a teaspoon of cornstarch with a tablespoon of water and add it to the crockpot during the last hour of cooking. This will help thicken the sauce and create a richer consistency.
- Use Low Sodium Soup: To control the sodium content of the dish, opt for low-sodium or reduced-fat cream of chicken soup. This allows you to adjust the seasoning to your taste preferences without worrying about excessive sodium.
- Don’t Overcook: Be mindful not to overcook the pork chops, as they can become dry and tough. Follow the recommended cooking time in the recipe and check for doneness with a meat thermometer. Pork chops are safe to eat when they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Garnish Before Serving: Before serving, garnish the pork chops with fresh chopped parsley or green onions for a pop of color and freshness. This adds a finishing touch to the dish and enhances its visual appeal.
- Serve with Sides: Serve the Crockpot Ranch Pork Chops with your favorite sides such as mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed vegetables. The creamy sauce pairs well with a variety of side dishes, making it a versatile meal option.
- Reheat Leftovers: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat the pork chops gently in the microwave or on the stovetop with a splash of chicken broth to prevent them from drying out.
Storage
Store your leftover ranch pork chops in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge.
Should I use a bone-in or boneless pork chop?
You can use both a bone-in and a boneless pork chop for this recipe. You will want to use a thicker pork chop. This helps seal in the moisture.
Should I use thin or thick pork chops?
Thicker ones will be more moist and flavorful. If you opt for thin pork chops you will want to reduce the cooking time to about 2 or 3 hours on low.
