Instant Pot Honey Garlic Chicken

I am a huge fan of the combination of honey and garlic.  One of my most popular recipes is my Worlds Best Steak Marinade, which is the perfect blend of honey and garlic. This Instant Pot Honey Garlic Chicken is another perfect marriage of honey and garlic.  The instant pot really seals in those flavors and creates some of the moistest chicken ever.

One of my first Instant pot chicken dishes I posted was my Instant Pot Huli Huli Hawaiian Chicken.  Still one of my absolute favorite instant pot chicken dishes.

Can I Use Bone-In Chicken

Of course! If you prefer bone-in you are more than welcome to do that. I prefer boneless as I diced it up.

If you do a bone-in you will have to do a bit of a longer cook time. To ensure that your chicken fully cooks.

Use your meat thermometer to ensure our chicken is fully cooked.

    2. Heat the Instant Pot in sauté mode.
    3. Add 1 TBSP of oil (I use olive oil) to the pot. (If you love extra garlic, throw some in to saute with your meat)
    4. If using chicken strips or breasts, cut into bite sized pieces or slightly larger.
    5. Season chicken with salt and pepper; arrange in the instant pot and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side.
    6. Add the honey garlic sauce to the pot; cover and lock the lid.

    9. Transfer chicken to a serving plate.
    10. Turn your pot to saute. Take 1/4 cup of the liquid from the pot. Add the corn starch to your liquid, mix to combine. Pour it back into your pot and allow it to thicken as you saute. Continue to thicken for a few minutes.
    11. Add your chicken back in and saute for a minute or two to coat all your chicken with the thicker sauce.
    12. Serve with white rice.
