Easy Tortellini Casserole
Easy tortellini casserole is one of those dishes that belongs on everyone’s table! It is so easy to prepare, it is packed full of so much flavor, it is versatile, and can be made ahead of time to make dinner time a breeze!

Instructions:
- Cook the tortellini according to the package instructions and drain well.
- Place 1 cup of the sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish, and preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Layer ½ of the tortellini in the bottom of the baking dish.
- Drop ½ of the ricotta cheese by the spoonful into the baking dish.
- Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese, and top that with ½ of the remaining sauce.
- Add the remaining tortellini, followed by the remaining ricotta, sauce, and finally the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake for 40 minutes.
- Let rest 10 minutes before serving.
Tips Tricks and FAQs
- This is the perfect vegetarian dish. If you want to add in a little protein you can. Just cook your ground beef, ground pork, or ground turkey while you cook your noodles. Drain the grease and layer on top of the tortellini. You could also combine it with the pasta sauce if you prefer.
- Love Italian spices? Add 2 tsp. of garlic powder, oregano, basil, and onion powder to the sauce prior to adding it to the dish.
- If you have a favorite homemade pasta sauce you can use that for this recipe as well.
- You can add other varieties of cheese or even reduce the amount of cheese if you prefer.
Storage
This easy tortellini casserole stores great in the fridge. Just cover and place in the fridge for up to 4 days.

This makes for a great freezer meal. Just assemble according to the directions and let it completely cool. Once cooled, wrap it tightly with plastic wrap and then again with foil. Place it in the freezer for up to 3 months.
