Coffee cake and crumb cake are very similar. The only real noticeable difference is that coffee cake typically has less streusel on the top than crumb cake.

Coffee cake typically does not have coffee so many people wonder how it gets its name! Well, it gets its name because it is typically served with coffee or tea.
How to make Bisquick Coffee Cake
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Spray a 9” round pan with canola spray
- In a small bowl, add the streusel topping ingredients, mix until crumbly
- In another bowl, add the Bisquick, milk, sugar & egg. Mix well.
- Pour batter into your pan.
- Top with the streusel topping.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes.

- This tastes best right out of the oven.
- You can top your coffee cake with fresh berries or homemade whipping cream for an extra special treat.
- Be sure you don’t skimp on the butter in the topping. This is what holds the streusel together.
- If you love walnuts or pecans you can add ½ cup to the batter prior to pouring into the pan.

You can store this coffee cake at room temperature covered or in an airtight container.

- ⅔ Cup Milk (Water can be used as well)
- 2 TBSP Sugar
- 1 Egg
- Streusel Topping
- ⅓ Cup Bisquick
- ⅓ Cup Brown Sugar
- ½ TSP Cinnamon
- 2 TBSP Butter, softened
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
