Tips Tricks and FAQs
- For this recipe, I love to use sharp cheese. It brings rich bold flavors into this dish, but you can use any type of cheese that you would like or a combination of different kinds.
- When you open your Air Fryer, it may look saucy, but after a quick stir, it will thicken right up. Let it cool for about 5 minutes and then it will become even thicker.
Storage
Fridge
Store your leftover Air Fryer mac and cheese in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
What can I serve with this dish?
The great thing about mac and cheese is that it is so versatile. Serve it by itself or as a main dish or as a side.
I love serving my mac and cheese with a side salad if I plan on having it be the star of the show.

This tasted great! However, it looked a bit “curdled”-any idea of why or what to do differently next time to get a smoother sauce? Thank you!
@Pam M., I’m only guessing here but I get the curdled effect when I use the preshredded cheese. If I shred off the block it comes out better.
