- Vodka is traditionally used when it comes to Jello shots, but you can easily use Teqilla or rum.
- You can make a kid-friendly version of these by making them non-alcoholic by omitting the alcohol. Just follow the jello box as follows and add the lemon slice and lemon starburst.
Storage
Your jello shots will store in the fridge for 1 week. Just be sure you keep them out of reach of the kids.
Do Jello Shots need to be kept in the fridge?
Yes, technically you need to keep them in the fridge. However, you can leave them out for several hours without them going bad as long as it is not too hot. This might cause them to melt.
Can I add extra alcohol to these Jello Shots?
As tempting as it is to add in extra alcohol you will want to stick to the recipe. Adding extra alcohol will change the consistency of these jello shots and they will not set up properly.
What kind of alcohol is good in Jello Shots?
You will usually find vodka in jello shots, but you can also use rum or tequila.
