Mermaid Jello Shots
Mermaid Jello Shot
Mermaid Jell-O shots are an incredible adult treat! Layers of Jello that is infused with a coconut rum and topped with light and fluffy whipped cream topping! Serve these up at a Mermaid themed party for the ultimate treat!
Who says adults can’t have fun too? I think it is safe to say no matter what are she is we still love mermaid themed items. The pretty colors, flipper tails, and these Jello shots will tickle your taste buds!
Easy Mermaid Jello Shots
While these mermaid Jello shots look hard, they are really easy to make. You create layers of colors and flavors for that top notch Jell-O Shot any adult will be reaching for.
You create layers of jello, grape, berry blue, and lime, infused with rum. Then as each layer begins to set up, you pour on a new layer. Then before you know it you are ready to make the homemade whipped cream to top it off. Add a chocolate mermaid tail or seashell and serve them up!
Kid Friendly Mermaid Jello Shots
If you want to make a Jello shot that is kid friendly, just leave out the rum! Use lemon lime soda in replace of rum in recipe. It will give these shots a fun and fruity flavor that kids will love.
If you don’t want to make the homemade whipped cream then reach for a can to squeeze on top. Add some candy sprinkles and serve up alcohol free jello mermaid shots.
These are a great treat for birthday parties that have a unicorn or even mermaid theme!
Can I make Mermaid Jello Shots Ahead of Time
The process of making these Jello shots is time consuming. You will want to ensure you leave enough room for each later to set up properly to move on.
If you want to make these ahead of time I recommend leaving off the whipped cream until you are closer to being ready to serve. I say this because overtime whipped cream will begin to break down and you don’t want a droopy presentation.
So wrap up the shots in plastic wrap or store in an airtight container. Then around an hour before serving top your shots and get ready to serve up on of the most flavorful shots you have ever had.
How Long Will Jello Shots Last
Because of the condensed milk in these you can expect 3-5 days these need to be eaten. Typically plain Jello shots last 7-10 days. But with the creamy layers that changes the time frame quite a bit.
Will Jello Shots Get You Drunk
Generally you will find these mermaid shots offer less alcohol than a boozy cocktail or shot. The alcohol will be bold in flavor but not necessarily get you drunk.
Give hear mermaid shots a try today. Cool yourself down on a hot summer day, treat your friends or skip the alcohol and make some kid-friendly mermaid treats! Either way this recipe is incredible!
