Tips Tricks and FAQs

  • When it comes to the pie crust, you can make your own, or you can buy them in the refrigerated section to save time.
  • If you want to add even more meat, you can add in some cooked Italian sausage for even more flavor.
  • If you find the top browning too quickly, loosely cover it with foil.

Storage

Store your leftover pizza in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Make-Ahead

Around Easter time I always love to be able to prep ahead of time. Pizza Rustica can easily be made and baked up to 5 days ahead of time. When you are ready to enjoy, you can reheat individual slices in the microwave or the whole pizza in the oven.

Do you eat pizza Rustica hot or cold?

Personally, I love to eat this hot, but you can easily enjoy it cold. Some people love to eat it cold for breakfast the next day!
