Tips Tricks and FAQs
- You want to make sure to give the casserole enough time to sit, so you want to refrigerate it overnight before baking. If you don’t have that much time, be sure to let it sit for at least 2 hours.
- This recipe calls for plain bagels, but you can be creative and use other flavors that pair well with bananas. Try using cinnamon raisin or blueberry bagels for additional flavors.
- Add more fruit! While we love the banana flavor, you can easily add other options. Try strawberries, blueberries, or even raspberries. Just be sure to cut them all to bite size pieces first.
- This is best enjoyed right away after it is baked.
Storage
You will want to store your bagel french toast casserole covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.
How do I reheat my breakfast casserole?
To reheat your breakfast casserole, you will want to remove the portion you are ready to enjoy and place it on a microwaveable place covered. Heat for 30 seconds and check. Repeat this process until you reach the desired temperature.
If you reheat it for too long it can become rubbery.
