Everything Bagel Dip
Cream cheese and sour cream unite in this incredible dip. It gives you that creamy and smooth texture you will love. Then add in your seasoning for that incredible savory component.
What To Pair With Everything Bagel Dip
- Baguettes
- Chips
- Pretzels
- Crackers
- Fresh Vegetables
- French Bread
This cold dip is so versatile. You can pair with a variety of items so feel free to pick and choose what you want to pair with it. This is a super easy recipe that is great to whip up in a hurry for those last-minute appetizers to whip up.
How Long is Homemade Dip Good For
Since this is a dairy-based dip it is good for around 3-4 days. You will want to store it in the refrigerator. Make sure it is placed in an airtight container. Then stir before each time you serve it.
What If I Don’t Want To Use Sour Cream In Dip Recipe
If you don’t want to use sour cream you are welcome to replace it with mayonnaise or Greek plain yogurt. It will change the flavor of the dip slightly but not a ton. The sour cream adds a nice tang to the dip.
How To Make Homemade Everything Bagel Seasoning
Of course, you can buy your everything bagel seasoning, but it is crazy simple to make your own! I have found that I have saved money rummaging my spices and pulling all the ingredients out to make my own.
- Poppy Seeds (regular and white)
- White Sesame Seeds
- Black Sesame Seeds
- Dried Minced Onions
- Dried Minced Garlic
- Course Salt
That is all you need to create your own seasoning. Pour into a container and store in the cabinet along with all your other spices. Just make sure to check expiration date on all your spices so that you know if any are close to expiring soon. If so that is when you will need to toss your mix at that time.
What Is The Difference Between Blue and White Poppy Seeds
There really isn’t a huge flavor difference in the poppy seeds except for the color. They are interchangeable. I find that adding both into the recipe adds a nice color. But overall they are interchangeable.
Whip up this creamy chilled dip and serve it up for your family and friends this weekend.
