Ingredients:
- 6 Strips Thick Bacon, Cut Into 1 Inch Pieces
- 1 Small onion, Diced
- 2 Jalapenos, Deseeded and Diced
- 2 8 Ounce Packages Cream Cheese, Softened
- ⅓ Cup Mayonnaise
- ⅓ Cup Sour Cream
- 1 Teaspoon Granulated Garlic
- 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
- 2 Teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 ½ Cups Pepper Jack Cheese Shredded
- 1 Cup Crushed Tortilla Chips
How to Make Jalapeno Popper Dip
- Preheat the oven t 375℉.
- Heat a cast iron skillet over medium heat. Add the bacon and cook until it becomes crispy, remove with a slotted spoon, and set aside, leaving the fat in the pan.
- In the same skillet, add the onion and jalapeno. Cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened. Remove the pan from the heat and add in the cream cheese, mayo, and sour cream. Mix until fully combined. Add in the garlic, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, ¾ of the cooked bacon, and 1 cup of the cheese, and mix until combined.
- Sprinkle the top of the mixture with the rest of the cheese, bacon, and top with the crushed tortilla chips.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until the edges are bubbling and the cheese has melted. Garnish with sliced jalapeno if desired. Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy!
Tips Tricks and FAQs
- If you prefer, you can substitute cheddar cheese instead of using pepper jack cheese.
- The recipe calls for tortilla chips, but you can also use crushed Ritz crackers or Fritos instead.
- To add some extra spice to this dish, add some red pepper flakes to the jalapeno popper dip.
- You can use canned jalapenos to reduce the prep time.
- Not a fan of bacon? You can omit it from this recipe.

Yes, you can make this up to 3 days in advance. Combine all the ingredients and mix and then spread it in your dish. Keep covered in the fridge until you are ready to bake. You will want to store your toppings in a separate bag to add right before you bake it.
