Prime Rib

If you are looking to make a prime rib over the holidays, you might want to try it in your Ninja Foodi. I think you will enjoy how easy this recipe is. Straight forward directions, easy seasoning, and tasty dinner.

What Is The Best Cut Of A Prime Rib

Reach for a prime rib roast or standing prime rib cut. Depending on where you live and what you have available will depend on what you can buy in the store. Feel free to buy any cut of prime rib.

What Cut Is Prime Rib

Prime rib can be purchased in two different grades. A choice grade and prime. The prime tends to have more fat so there is more marbling throughout, which adds to a higher price tag. Then the choice is less marble and lowers the price. Either are a great choice of meat.

Why Is Prime Rib So Popular

Prime rib is really popular and sought after cut of meat. You will find that prime rib offers that super tender and juicy meat. Slice and serve with your favorite side dishes.

Prime rib is popular to order at restaurants and serve during the holidays. Carve out your prime rib and enjoy that flavorful melt in your mouth meat.

Temperatures For Prime Rib

Grab a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of your prime rib. Depending on the size of your meat will depend on cook time. So ensure to check by poking the thermometer in the thickest part of the meat.

  • 115-120˚F for rare,
  • 125-130˚F for medium-rare
  • 135-140 for medium doneness
  • 145-150 for medium-well

How to Store Leftover Prime Rib

If you have some prime rib leftover place it in an airtight container and stick it in the fridge. When it is stored properly you will find your meat will stay good for up to three days.

Then reheat as you would like whether microwave or even the oven. If you do the oven just add some water or broth to the meat so it doesn’t dry out.

Can You Freeze Prime Rib

You can freeze the leftover prime rib for up to three months. You will find the texture and flavor will change a bit, but almost all meat changes once are frozen and thawed. Just store in an airtight container or sealable bag.

Then thaw in the fridge the night before you plan to serve it up, or do a quick thaw for cooking.

For a delicious side dish, pair this with my Ninja Foodi Corn Casserole.  Do not forget to make the canned biscuits either.

I made a 2.5 lb. Rib roast using this recipe. I followed all instructions except the seasoning part. I crusted the roast wit salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and fresh minced garlic. This roast smells so good I cant wait to hear the reviews from my friends that made this for.
