I must admit that even as much as I LOVE my instant pot, I was not fully confident the results would be as amazing as people were saying. People have been raving about their Instant Pot Rib successes and I finally just needed to try it out.
Instant Pot or Ninja Foodie BBQ Ribs
These Instant Pot BBQ Ribs are so delicious and moist that I was initially shocked. I feel guilty even admitting that. I was thrilled with the results. The meat was shockingly moist and delicious.
Once cooked in the instant pot, I slathered the top of my ribs with my favorite BBQ sauce. I then broiled them for a few minutes to seal in the BBQ flavor and caramelize it a bit.
How to Fit Ribs Into Instant Pot Easier
To make fitting your ribs into your instant pot possible, remove the white shiny membrane from the back of the ribs. You should be able to easily remove it with your fingers.
Can I Use Homemade Barbecue Sauce for Ninja Foodi Ribs
Yes! Feel free to reach for Homemade if your favorite brand of sauce! Any barbeque sauce will do for this bbq rib recipe.
How Long Do You Pressure Cook Ribs
I cooked these ribs for 25 minutes on the stew and meat setting on my Instant Pot. It seemed to be the perfect time. Then you transfer to the oven to finish cooking or swap lids in Foodi to crisp up.
Can You Use Frozen Ribs For Instant Pot Recipe
Yes, you can use frozen ribs! Just make sure when you get home from the store you prep the ribs and cut them to size before freezing. That way they fit into your pot, otherwise, you won’t get to fold it up to fit.
You will use the same cook time it will just take your Foodi or Instant Pot more time to reach pressure.
How Long Will BBQ Ribs Last in Fridge
Once cooked you can store your ribs wrapped up or in an airtight container in the fridge. The ribs will last up to three days. Then you will want to throw out any leftovers.

You can freeze your cooked bbq ribs. Place in a freezer bag or airtight container and then store in the freezer for up to 1-3 months depending on how you froze them.
Thaw in the fridge the night before you plan to eat them. Then warm up in the microwave or on the stove!
