Tips Tricks and FAQs
- Taste your strawberry iced tea once it is made to ensure it has the level of strawberry flavor and sugar that you enjoy.
- Be sure to not let the tea bags steep for more than 5 minutes. Leaving them in longer can result in a bitter tea.
- When making strawberry simple syrup, you can use strawberry syrup instead. You will find this in the mixed drink aisle at the grocery store. Rose’s Simple Syrup and Torani Strawberry Syrup are both great options. If you go this route add a ⅓ at a time to the tea because simple syrups all have different levels of intensity of flavors.
- It is best to dissolve the sugar in the water when it is the hottest. If you add the sugar when the water cools, you will find that it will not dissolve all the way.
- You can use any brand of iced tea, but Lipton is my favorite. You will find that the strength of the teas differs by brand.
Storage
You will want to store your iced tea in the fridge in a pitcher. This will keep for up to 1 week.
Can I make this ahead of time?
You will definitely want to make your Strawberry Iced tea ahead of time or at least ice it down prior to serving to ensure it is not warm.
