Millionaire Pie in a Jar
I feel like this summer my go-to desserts are all fun desserts in a jar, anything from my Turtle Brownie Trifles in a Jar, my Strawberry Shortcake in a Jar, and this Millionaire Pie in a Jar! I love it because these desserts are so easy to make, give everyone their own portion and they look fantastic!
Millionaire Pie has to be one of my favorites though! I love that I can prepare this dessert in less than 10 minutes and everyone always loves it! There is something about the sweetened condensed milk mixed with the coconut, pineapples, cherries, and pecans that make my taste buds jump for joy! I know once you try it this will become one of your favorites too!
How Did Millionaire Pie Get Its Name?
Millionaire pie was first made in South Carolina. This pie has such a rich flavor that even people who were not wealthy felt like a million bucks while enjoying it! Therefore, it was given its name millionaire pie.

Tips Tricks and FAQs
- Before enjoying it, I recommend letting it set up in the fridge for several hours.
- When preparing your pineapple you want to make sure to really squeeze the liquid out of your pineapple so that it will set up correctly.
Storage
You will want to store your Millionaire pie jars covered in the fridge for up to 3 days after making.
Can I leave out the lemon juice?
While you can modify several things in this recipe, you cannot leave out the lemon juice. It actually helps thicken the pie so omitting it will cause you to have a runny dessert.
Can I use this same to create a pie?
Yes, you can absolutely use this same recipe to make an actual pie. I do recommend doubling the recipe to ensure you have enough crust and filling.
