Long Island Iced Tea
When it comes to cocktails the Long Island Iced Tea has been around for a long time and for good reason! It goes down smooth and is loaded with delicious alcohol. It is the drink that belongs at all your summer gatherings and pool parties. The thing I love about this drink is that I can change the amount of coke it has for all my guests’ preferences. Tips Tricks and FAQs
- While this drink contains quite a bit of alcohol, it actually is smooth and refreshing. It has just the right amount of kick that you want in a cocktail.
- Use a high quality gin and triple sec. These are the ingredients that have the most flavor so you want to make sure you choose good quality ones.
- If you prefer you can add in more coke. This will make it darker in color. You can also add less coke if you prefer as well.
- If you don’t like your drink over ice because you are worried about it becoming watered down, simply chill your drinking glass for about 30 minutes before use.
- You can easily make a big batch of this if you prefer by doubling or tripling the recipe.
Storage
It is best to enjoy your drink right away.
Can I make Long Island Iced Tea ahead of time?
If you prefer to make Long Island Iced Tea ahead of time I recommend mixing all the ingredients together, except for the ice and then covering it and placing it in the fridge. When you are ready to serve, you will want to stir your drink mixture. Add ice to individual glasses and then pour in your Long Island Iced Tea. I would make this no more than 4 hours ahead of time.
