You all know by now, I am the queen of moonshine. From the classic apple pie, peach, and don’t forget my cranberry. I am always creating tons of new moonshine recipes for you all to test out.
Grape Jolly Rancher Moonshine
Jolly ranchers are always stocked in our house. I love the intense flavors they are, and they help me not munch during the day as much. I started thinking one day, why not create a grape Jolly Rancher Moonshine! So here is my latest sweet creation.
Can I Make Moonshine With Any Jolly Ranchers
This is one question I am sure I will get asked. Yes, if you want to use a different flavor of moonshine with your Jolly Ranchers feel free. Just improvise the recipe a bit to get the flavor you want.
What Type Of Alcohol Do You Use For Instant Pot Moonshine
Reach for Everclear when it comes to making this moonshine. You get that bold and rich alcohol you want but when it pairs with the sweet grape mixture, it becomes so smooth and is totally addictive. Just make sure that you allow your Jolly Rancher mixture to fully cool after being cooked in the Instant Pot, and then incorporate the Everclear.
Everclear is highly flammable so you never want to use it in the Instant Pot or with the hot mixture. Just be safe when making your homemade moonshine.
What Proof Is Moonshine
True moonshine that many used to make in the woods is around 180-190 proof. But with this recipe, it is a legal moonshine you can make and not feel worried. Everclear will give you anywhere from 150-190 proof, giving you a similar taste to the old school moonshine.
Depending on the Everclear you buy will depend on the proof you end up within the end. Everclear is one of the strongest alcohols out there.
Can I Adjust The Strength Of Grape Moonshine
Of course, adding less Everclear to the mixture will tame down the alcohol in the recipe. Or if you want to amp up the flavor more feel free to add more alcohol. I love how the recipe is but if you want to play around with it to find the perfect flavor feel free.
I just recommend making small adjustments so that you don’t run into too much alcohol and then ruin your mixture. Been there, done that in the past, so now I add little by little and taste to our liking.

Curious to know how to store this and how long it’s good for?
If you have it sealed in an airtight jar it can last up to two years if you have it properly stored. Then with an open container, it can store up to 6 months in the fridge.
Because I want to play with flavors, how long would I set the instapot for a half batch?
Same amount of time
Is there any other way to make this without an instant pot?
Yes you can cook it on the stove as well
Hi! Does this need time to sit before drinking like some other similar recipes do? I’ve read some if you let them sit around two weeks or so they taste better. Thanks!
You absolutely can let it sit, but it’s not mandatory.
