What cut of beef do I use for beef tips?

Technically you can use any cut of beef, but I prefer to always use sirloin tips. You can use tenderloin or even get a chuck roast and cut it into larger chunks to create beef tips for a budget friendly alternative. If you do go this route try to get a sirloin tip roast.
