How to make Hamburger Gravy

  • In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion.
  • Add in Worcestershire.
  • Add in the flour and stir to combine.  Continue to cook to allow the flour to start thickening up your meat.  
  • Add in the bullion & milk.
  • Continue to cook for a few minutes over medium heat to thicken the sauce. 
  • Serve over mashed potatoes, biscuits, or toast.

  • Add vegetables! You can easily add all different kinds of vegetables to this hamburger gravy. One of my favorites additions is mushrooms. 
  • If you forget to thaw your hamburger, don’t worry you can still make this for dinner in about the same amount of time. Just add a little bit of water to the pan and cover. Turn the block of hamburger frequently and chop it into smaller pieces as it thaws. 
  • Or opt to thaw your meat quickly in your instant pot.
  • You can use this same recipe for sausage gravy. Just swap out the hamburger for sausage.
