I love soft buttery cookies and these Dulce de Leche cookies are one of my favorites. They are soft and tender and buttery and the dulce de leche is heavenly. Once you make these you will find yourself making them again and again.

Ingredients:
- 10 tbsp butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup dulce de leche
How to Make Dulce De Leche Cookies
- Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and vanilla together.
- Add powdered sugar and beat again.
- Add flour and salt. Beat until smooth dough forms.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a greased cookie sheet.
- Slightly flatten each ball of dough.
- Using a teaspoon measuring spoon, create a small divot in the center of each cookie.
- Using a spoon, fill the divot with dulce de leche. Do not overfill.
- Bake cookies for 11-13 minutes or until the bottoms are slightly browned.

- If you use salted butter, you can omit the salt from this recipe.
- Feel free to use your favorite dulce de leche. You can use homemade or store bought.
- It is best to sift the flour to keep these cookies nice and light.
- You can refrigerate the dough prior to rolling the dough into 1 inch balls. This helps prevent spreading while they bake.
- Feel free to sprinkle sea salt on top of these cookies after baking for another layer of delicious flavor.
