Eggnog Coffee Creamer
I love Christmas, especially the Eggnog! Any way that I can add it to my day I do! I love my Eggnog Lattes when I am feeling fancy in the morning paired with an eggnog donut. As the day goes on I find myself craving Eggnog Cookies or no bake Eggnog bars for dessert paired with a Gingerbread Eggnog cocktail! But sometimes I just don’t have the time to bake or make fancy drinks that is when I love to turn to this homemade eggnog coffee creamer.
It is the perfect companion to my coffee in the morning and it is so easy to make! With just five minutes of prep I can enjoy it for several days at a time. Once you make this eggnog creamer at home you will find yourself making it again and again.
Ingredients:
- 1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk (14 ounces)
- 1 Cup Eggnog
- 1 Cup Half and Half
- ½ Tablespoon Rum Extract
- 1 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
How to Make Eggnog Coffee Creamer
- Starting with the sweetened condensed milk and ending with the nutmeg, place all the ingredients into a medium mixing bowl or large measuring glass (I used a 4 cup one) and whisk or stir until fully combined.
- Use immediately or store in the fridge until you’re ready to use it.
Tips Tricks and FAQs
- You will want to shake your eggnog before each use.
- Do not blend your ingredients in a blender. This can cause thickening to occur.
- Be sure to not use pudding based eggnog. These are often called mock eggnog and are most often homemade. This will make the creamer extra thick and cause your coffee to gain a film at the top of it.
- Be sure you use basic store bought eggnog. You will want to avoid eggnog that has been spiked with alcohol.
- If you need to use something other than half and half, opt for whole milk, evaporated milk, or even coconut milk.
- Use fresh ingredients for best results. The fresher the ingredients the longer your eggnog coffee creamer will last.
Storage
Store your eggnog coffee creamer in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.
