Cobb Salad Trifle
Cobb salad is one of our favorite dishes during the summer. It is easy to make and does not require me to turn on the oven and making the house hot. The other day we were headed to a BBQ and I wanted to elevate my Cobb Salad to the next level by making it look pretty, so I decided to create this fun Layered Cobb Salad in a Trifle Bowl.
You will wow your friends and family with how gorgeous this dish looks as you layer all your favorite cobb salad ingredients into a trifle dish for the perfect presentation.

How to make Cobb Salad in a Trifle Dish
- Mix the ingredients for the dressing.
- Layer ingredients in the trifle bowl in this order: lettuce, chicken, tomatoes, boiled eggs, dressing, bacon, blue cheese, and green onions.
- Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Tips Tricks and FAQs
- Feel free to add any ingredients! Toss in some beets or even some red peppers if you’d like.
- This dressing is fantastic, but you can swap it out for another dressing that you love.
- If you are short on time, grab a rotisserie chicken from the store and use that.
- If you want to swap out the blue cheese substitute it for shredded cheddar cheese.
Storage
You can easily make this dish several hours ahead of time (excluding adding the dressing) and cover and store it in the fridge. Once you add the dressing, I do not recommend storing the salad as it will be wilted and soggy.
Make-Ahead
To save time you can easily make your hard-boiled eggs and bacon a day ahead of time and store them in the fridge until you are ready to assemble.
