We are huge fans of buffalo chicken flavor in our house. We especially love our crockpot buffalo chicken soup, Instant Pot Buffalo Chicken Sliders, and these buffalo chicken bombs. There is something about the buffalo flavor that keeps us coming back time and time again.
These buffalo chicken bombs are packed with flavor and are easily spiced up or toned down. I love the creamy cheesy chicken buffalo mixture within the biscuits. These are perfect for dinner, to serve as an appetizer, or to enjoy while watching the game. Once you make these you will be hooked on the flavor explosion that happens in every bite.
How to make buffalo chicken bombs
- Combine in a large bowl, the chicken, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, & hot sauce. Mix well to combine.
- Open the tube of biscuits and separate each one. Gently pull the sides of the biscuit to stretch the dough a bit.
- Take 1 TBSP of buffalo chicken dip and place it into the center of your flattened biscuit. Pull up the sides of the biscuit to create a ball of dough around the chicken dip.
- Place in a greased muffin tin, seam side down. Mix a few shakes of hot sauce in with your melted butter and brush over the top of your bombs.
- Cook for approx. 15-20 minutes. Removing from the oven when they are a nice golden color.
Tips Tricks and FAQs
- This recipe can be easily adjusted. You can half it, double it, or triple it depending on how many people you are feeding.
- To add even more flavor add 4 tsp of ranch seasoning into your buffalo chicken dip. You can even drizzle them with a little bit more ranch on top after cooking.
- If you don’t have a muffin tin you can easily cook your chicken bombs on a greased cookie sheet.
- Want even more flavor? Try different cheeses. I love to throw a little bit of blue cheese inside when serving them to adults for even more flavor.
- If you are worried about the hot sauce with the kids you can use less, or switch it out completely. Substitute BBQ sauce for it to great BBQ chicken bombs.
- To fancy these buffalo chicken bombs up you can brush with butter and add bits of parsley to them after cooking.
- This recipe is cooked in the oven, but you can easily deep fry them. Heat your oil to 375 degrees and cook until they are golden brown, about 4-5 minutes. Set them on a paper towel to drain off excess grease.
Storage
These are best consumed right away and hot! If you do have leftovers you can store them in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 2 days.

- 2 Cups Shredded Chicken
- 1 (8 oz) Block of Cream Cheese, softened
- 1/2 Cup Hot Sauce
- 1 Packet Ranch Dressing & Seasoning Mix
- 2 Cups of Shredded Cheddar
- 2 Tubes of Refrigerator Biscuits
- 2 TBSP Melted Butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Spray muffin tins with canola spray. You are making 16
