Tips & Tricks

  • Slice evenly: Try to keep your zucchini slices the same thickness so they cook evenly. Thinner slices will be crispier!
  • Press on the crumbs: After dipping in egg and crumbs, press the coating in with your fingers to help it stick better.
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer: Give the chips some breathing room for maximum crispness.
  • Customize the flavor: Add garlic powder, smoked paprika, or Italian seasoning to the breadcrumb mix for a flavor twist.

FAQs

Yes, but panko gives you a much crispier finish. If you only have regular breadcrumbs, consider toasting them slightly before using.

Not necessary for this recipe, especially since we’re cooking at a high temperature, but if your zucchini is super watery, you can pat it dry after slicing.

These are best served fresh, but if you have leftovers, reheat them in the air fryer for a few minutes to bring back the crispiness. Avoid the microwave—it’ll make them soggy.
