Living life on keto can be tough when it comes to eating out. Here are some fast food options for low carb or keto dieters, so you can always find ways to stay on track when you are out on the go.

Or maybe you want to treat yourself to eating out, that is okay too! There are options that will keep you on the fast lane to your diet. 

Best Fast Food Options for Low Carb or Keto Dieters

Subway or Sub Shops 

Subway or any sub shop is a great place to stop in. Most of the time you can ask for any sandwich to be turned into a salad, or ask for no bread. Easy peasy! Skip cheese if you want. If you need help on low carb veggies here are a few to choose. Green peppers, spinach, avocado, mushroom, bacon, cheese, onion, black olives, lettuce, and even pickles. Quick Order advice:

Love chicken? Head over to Chick-Fil-A! They have some great options for you to sink your teeth into. Reach for grilled chicken, and skip the breaded chicken. Or reach for a cobb salad, and hold off on the dressing or ask for a lower carb option. As for drinks go for a coffee or even an unsweetened iced tea.  Quick order advice:

At Wendy’s, you will find you can order some bunless burgers (naked) or even a nice crisp salad. If you buy a salad, ask for grilled chicken, don’t do the homestyle or spicy as both chickens are breaded. Quick order advice:

  • Double Bacon Cheeseburger, minus the bun.

They have a ton of hamburger styles to choose from that you burrito without the tortilla and without tater tots.can ask to leave the bun and ketchup off. Then they also have some hot dog options along with a grilled chicken. Always just remember to skip the bun, and you have a nice low carb protein dish to dive into. They also have diet options for drinks or reach for water or unsweetened tea. Quick Order Advice: 

  • All-beef regular hot dog. Grilled chicken sandwich with no bun.
  • Burrito without the tortilla and without tater tots.


Not a ton of options at this fast-food chain. You could reach for the grilled chicken option if the chain offers it near you. Reach for a side of green beans or even possibly the coleslaw. They do add some sugar into their coleslaw so make note of that.  Quick Order Advice:
