Who does not love Banana’s? As moms, I think we can all agree that getting your kids to eat a banana is a heck of a lot easier than many other fruits. This recipe takes that regular banana and turns it into a creamy delicious treat. Banana Cream Pops are creamy and heavenly! Boy is it a good thing I made lots of them!
This pop is like no other. There are versions you can buy already made in the freezer section (which I may have hidden from my kids in the past so I could hoard them for myself, lol) but I must say they have nothing over these. The combination of the heavy cream and milk in this recipe give this a divine bit of creaminess.
This is a treat both you and your children will enjoy.
- 2 Bananas, very ripe
- 1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
- 2 Cups Whole Milk
- 1/3 Cup Sugar
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas very well with a potato masher or a real sturdy whisk (you can use the whisk from your hand mixer if you like, without actually using the mixer). You want your bananas to be fairly lump free.
- Start adding in the remainder of the ingredients while continuing to mash and smooth the bananas till they are an almost no lump consistency.
- Pour Mixture into pop molds or a 3 oz cup.
- Freeze about half way and than insert your pop sticks in. Continue freezing and than enjoy your sweet treat.
