Tips Tricks and FAQs

  • If you opt to use the Grill method, add slices to the grill and cook 2-3 minutes per side.
  • I prefer to use slices that are about 1 inch thick. Cooking time will vary based on the thickness of your pineapple slices or chunks.
  • I suggest grabbing a whole pineapple and cutting it yourself. This will have more flavor than buying pineapple in the can.
  • I highly recommend rebasting your pineapple when you flip it halfway through. This adds a really awesome caramelization.

How to Grill Pineapple

If you do not have a Ninja Foodi Grill or just want to grill your pineapple on your grill, this is how you should do it. Marinade your pineapple as stated in the recipe below. Lightly oil your grill grates. Heat on HIGH heat. Place your pineapple pieces on the hot grill, cook 2-3 minutes per side.

Storage

This is one of those dishes I don’t recommend storing and eating later. With how easy it is to make, I recommend just making it each time you would like to serve it.

Do I need a ripe pineapple?

The great thing about this dish is that you don’t have to have a perfectly ripe pineapple. Just brush it with butter and your cinnamon sugar mixture and it will taste delicious!
