Air Fryer Stuffed Peppers
I have always had a love for stuffed peppers! I love the juicy meat filling on the inside and the tender pepper on the outside, but I have always hated how long they cook, especially on busy school days. The other day I decided to bring out my Air Fryer and try stuffed peppers in the Air Fryer, and can I just tell you wow! Every bite was bursting with so much flavor that I don’t think I will ever make these any other way, well except maybe when making Stuffed Peppers in my Ninja Foodi Grill!
You will absolutely love making Air Fryer Stuffed Peppers because cooking peppers in the Air Fryer makes them so crispy and tender. You can pretty much guarantee you won’t be eating a soggy pepper if you cook them this way.
How to make Air Fryer Stuffed Peppers
- Cut a thin slice from the top of each pepper, removing the stem and cleaning the inside. Make any minor slices to the bottom if needed to help your pepper stand straight.
- In a skillet, add the ground beef, garlic, and onions. Cook until the meat is no longer pink. Carefully drain any excess grease. (If you do not have one of these meat choppers, you NEED ONE!)
- Add in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce & Italian seasoning. Break up the diced tomatoes if they are larger chunks. Allow simmering for 5 minutes.
- Add in the cooked rice. Mix to combine and let it heat through.
- Scoop the meat/rice mixture into your peppers. Fill them just to the top.
- Air Fry 375 degrees for 10 min.
- Add the shredded cheese and return to cook for 5 minutes.
Tips Tricks and FAQs
- Try using ground pork or ground turkey to change the flavor of this dish.
- With all air fryers, cooking times do vary a bit. These cooking times and the temperature is what works for most Air Fryers.
- Be creative! You can stuff peppers with all kinds of delicious ingredients. I love adding mushrooms and zucchini for even more flavor. You can even create a fun Tex-Mex version if you choose!
- You can swap out your white rice for brown rice if you choose.
Storage
Store your leftover stuffed peppers in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 2 days. The pepper will not stay as crispy, but it will still taste delicious.
Do you have to cook the meat before stuffing peppers?
Yes, you will want to cook the meat mixture prior to stuffing your peppers. You will then mix all the other ingredients together before stuffing your peppers.
What can I serve with my stuffed peppers?
These peppers are a meal all on their own. If you would like you can add a steamed vegetable or a side salad to the menu.

I love them! Eating low carb, I substituted a package of frozen riced cauliflower for the rice. Delicious!
Tried this today in my Instant Omni Plus. 15 minutes was not enough.
Turned the temp down after that to 350 and cooked 10 more minutes they
were done but a little burnt.
Will try again and start out at the 350.
